Skiing
Few words
Although Cyprus is a Mediterranean island bathed in glorious sunshine, you can indeed ski there. Troodos Mountain is 2,000 metres above sea level; here we have a ski centre that is open in the winter months.! The ski season in Cyprus typically lasts between January and April…. Based on Mount Olympus, with four ski lifts and eight alpine ski runs the Cyprus Ski Club accommodates skiers of all levels on its picturesque runs. It also operates ski schools on site whilst also offering cross-country ski tracks. Equipped with four ski lifts, the ski centre also offers a restaurant and cafes in a pleasant and relaxing environment.
In the Troodos area there are 2 hotels close to the ski resort and many more in the wider area of the region. In the winter you can find bargain prices for these hotels. Mount Olympus is only a few kilometers from the Troodos hill resort and only a short drive to the coastal city of Limassol. There’s nothing quite like the experience of the Troodos Mountains covered in a blanket of glistening snow.
While beholding splendid greenery and dense pine trees is one thing, the magic of panoramic views tinged with brilliant white is enough to seriously take your breath away as the whole district takes on a rather otherworldly appeal. Choose your Cyprus gives you the inside track on all the great things you can do as you head up to the island’s highest peaks. Dress warm, and let the fun and memorable times begin!

Aphrodite Hills Golf Course
Located near the legendary birthplace of the Greek mythological goddess of love, Aphrodite Hills is an award-winning integrated golf, leisure and real estate development. Looking over the beautiful Mediterranean Sea in addition to the presence of native olive trees, the course is built on two plateaus which are separated by an awe inspiring ravine. Cabell B. Robinson, the renowned golf course architect, was the man who designed the golf course and it has been stated that here he had created the perfect combination of challenging bunkers, perfect fairways of lush Bermuda grass and generously tiered greens. It has one of the most spectacular par 3’s in Europe (found on the 7th hole) contained within an 18-hole championship standard golf course. This signature 7th hole runs steeply down across a canyon onto a large green strategically placed in a grove of native olive trees. The course also has 4 target greens with bunkers, three academy holes, a double ending 350 metre practice range and practice facilities for short games. There are three in-house professional golf instructors available for group lessons or personal lessons plus a 3-hole academy course.
