Although Cyprus is a Mediterranean island bathed in glorious sunshine, you can indeed ski there. Troodos Mountain is 2,000 metres above sea level; here we have a ski centre that is open in the winter months.! The ski season in Cyprus typically lasts between January and April…. Based on Mount Olympus, with four ski lifts and eight alpine ski runs the Cyprus Ski Club accommodates skiers of all levels on its picturesque runs. It also operates ski schools on site whilst also offering cross-country ski tracks. Equipped with four ski lifts, the ski centre also offers a restaurant and cafes in a pleasant and relaxing environment.

In the Troodos area there are 2 hotels close to the ski resort and many more in the wider area of the region. In the winter you can find bargain prices for these hotels. Mount Olympus is only a few kilometers from the Troodos hill resort and only a short drive to the coastal city of Limassol. There’s nothing quite like the experience of the Troodos Mountains covered in a blanket of glistening snow.

Artificial reefs are built far from healthy ecosystems on arid regions of the ocean floor. This helps to keep people out of the wilderness, giving the animals room and time to recover while creating new habitats.

Visitors must be qualified scuba divers (e.g., NAUI Open water Scuba diver, Padi / SSI / SDI / RAID Open water, CMAS 1 star or similar) by any of the globally renowned certifying agencies in order to dive at the museum (PADI, NAUI, CMAS, RAID, SSI, SDI or equivalent). Please be aware that all scuba diving activities conducted on museum property must be protected by diving insurance. The individual diving centre is liable for the guests’ insurance for all reservations that are handled by the dive centres.

SNORKELING
Snorkeling visitors do not need to be certified in order to enter the museum. Please be aware, nevertheless, that by booking snorkelling activities, you agree to the terms and conditions.

Chosen for Divers by Divers, she is affectionately known as “The Zen”. Advanced open water (AOW) qualification is required. Located just less than one mile of the coast of Larnaca, it is rated one of the 10 best wreck dives in the world.

The Zenobia was a Swedish 170 metre ferry carrying vehicles which sank in 1980. It lies on its port side. Both the ferry itself and its cargo are still intact making it an extraordinary exploration seen as it also houses a rich variety of fish of different sizes. You arrive at the site by boat where the dive starts at 17 metres and bottoms at 43 metres. Visibility has a range of up to 50 metres in comfortable temperatures.

Golden donkeys farm is located in Skarinou village. It accommodates approximately 200 donkeys. The farm was build based of love and care for sustaining the Cyprus tradition. The main reason for establishing the farm , was to protect these beautiful animals that are bound to extinct. Once you enter the farm, you come across with a very old olive tree, perhaps the oldest in Cyprus.
